TREASURES HISTORY
Treasures Thrift Store was founded in November 1996 to support quality health care at Mason General Hospital in Shelton and North Mason Medical Clinic in Belfair. The store was an instant success and after only fifteen months in a very small store moved into the old JC Penneys building where we are currently located. Because the store received such a large number of books, Treasures Too! was opened about five years later. To date, the proceeds from the stores have purchased a number of much needed equipment for the hospital. In 2004/2005 we purchased a mammogram machine. In 2005/2006 we are striving to purchase a new CPR defibrillator.
Treasures and Treasures Too! are managed by Sandy Jackson. The staff includes: Terina McCord, assistant/receiving manager and Jim Coker; truck driver and all around handy person. Currently, we have more than forty volunteers. (See the volunteer section for more information.)
Our community, through quality donations, volunteering and shopping, has made Treasures and Treasures Too! very successful for 10 years. We are making improvements daily to ensure that the quality and service of the stores continues.
The staff and volunteers thank everyone that chooses to donate and shop at our stores.
